How long will it take for a service or a repair to be completed? How much will it cost?

The team will inspect your bike and determine how long it will take to complete the repair or service. This will depend on part availability and how busy the team is at that time. Generally, bike repairs and services take a couple days, however quick repairs such as a tube change will usually be done on the spot (if possible). This will all be communicated and decided by our workshop team mates who will also arrange a quote on the repair/service. You will receive a notification once your bike is ready to be picked up once the team has finished!

Do you service or do repairs on non-Decathlon branded bikes at your stores?

We currently have two stores in Australia that service all branded bikes. One in NSW, our Tempe store, and one in Victoria, our Knoxfield store. The rest of our stores such as Auburn, Moorabbin and Box Hill currently only service and work on Decathlon branded bikes. Regardless, our teammates are more than happy to assist with providing information on compatibility of parts for any branded bikes and any tips that could help out!

Will the bike be delivered prepared and ready to ride?

When bikes are received at Decathlon, they are 90% assembled by our workshop pre-delivery, then placed back in their box to be delivered to you, the customer. All that will be required in relation to assembly by the customer is the fitting of the pedals, and the adjusting of the handlebar and seat to the correct heights. Please note, if you purchase a bike in-store or select Click and Collect the bike will most likely not come in a box and will be fully prepared to ride out of the store by our team.

What is this 3 month free safety service I hear about with your bikes?

With the purchase of any bike here at Decathlon, you receive a complementary safety service to be used within the first 3 months from purchase date. This corresponds to inspection, adjustments, and tightening of several parts of your bike such as the drivetrain, steering, braking, wheel and tyre. The team will make sure your bike is being well kept after and has strong fundamentals to ensure the longevity of your bike!
